Upon completion of the work undertaken in the park under Count Alfredo Coronini, an elegant circular aedicule designed by architect Girolamo Luzzatto was erected on the top of the artificial hill in the summer of 1914.
This is an element that has frequently recurred in landscaped gardens since the Neoclassical period and which also had some illustrious precedents in Gorizia, in particular that of Palazzo Attems Santa Croce. The structure offered a new impressive vantage point over the park, as the vegetation, interspersed by large, carefully arranged karst stones, consisted mainly of low bushes, again with a Mediterranean flavour.
