The statue, which probably depicts the mythological fisherman Glaucus, is one of five works by the Vicenza sculptor Orazio Marinali (1643-1720), positioned at various points in the park.
The sculptures, of which there is no trace in 19th-century documents, may have been acquired by Count Alfredo Coronini around 1880, like the one of Gian Battista Coronini. Marinali's works may also have come from the Castle in Quisca (now Kojsko), where, according to sources, Count Rodolfo Coronini had created an Arcadian-pastoral inspired garden.
