The print collection, currently consisting of 1287 specimens, seems to date back to the time of Michele Coronini Cronberg (1793-1876), great-great-grandfather of the last count, to whom belonged what can be considered the original core of the collection, consisting of 126 sheets, including some of the most valuable prints from the 16th and 17th centuries.

In the 20th century, the collection was further expanded by Count Carlo, himself an etcher, and his son Guglielmo, with a major focus on engravings from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, as well as works by contemporary artists.

Guglielmo's personal initiative can also be traced back to the purchase of the core of over 300 Japanese prints.
