From the atrium, the staircase leads to the main floor with a short pause on the mezzanine.
Here, two large mullioned windows overlook the rear courtyard of the palace, where the stone perimeter of the swimming pool can still be seen, built by the German army command post in 1944.
On the walls hang two 18th century Venetian mirrors with allegorical images of America and Africa, belonging to a series of four pieces with personifications of the Continents or what were called the Four Parts of the World.
The other two mirrors with Asia and Europe are in the Venetian drawing room. On the ground are some Roman cinerary urns from Aquileia.
