Title
Pool
Description

Built between 1943 and 1944 during the period when the Palace had become the headquarters of a German army command, the mixtilinear profile pool considerably changed the appearance of the rear courtyard.

The construction of the swimming pool was accompanied by the arrangement of the new mullioned entrance, accessed by a double flight of steps, which only after the war were equipped with the elaborate gratings and wrought-iron railing that can be seen today.

The pool was equipped with a water heating system connected to the central heating system that serviced the palace, powered by a system of boilers located in the cellars.
